The Sinister Side of Snowmen: Time to Rethink Olaf & Frosty Forever! (2nd Game & I loved this! So spooky that he is always following you! Plus its beautiful!)
I wont lie i was scared at first but after a while i wasn't as scared considering he doesn't actually do anything until you actually find all the bodies. he just whispers nice things in ya ear. I found the game to be charming however and even somewhat funny in a good way. If possible maybe make it to where there are actual repercussions to turning your back too long (and if you want I wouldn't be opposed to some comedic elements added if you wish to go that route).
I played this in December for a Christmas themed horror game video. I liked how creepy frosty is and how it followed you around while you tried to figure out was going on. I got lost and started wandering but the end was very scary!
Hey played this game a while ago! I think there might be some things to improve, for example the 5 seconds music loop. Perhaps you could have some visual guidence to find the bodies more easily! I spent almost 20 minutes running around town, and there's nothing to do, Frosty doesn't even kill you. 😅
Hope you find this feedback useful! Here's my playthrough! It's in spanish tho!
I really enjoyed playing this short horror game. Here's my review!
+Artstyle, music and atmosphere are top tier +Frosty is not what you think he will be in a horror game +Game design/"levels" are quick and easy with some nice lore to tie it all in +Frosty being a "weeping angel" type took me by surprise +The game doesn't try to be something it isn't, and is straightforward
+-I do wish it was a longer experience with more actual interactions with Frosty
-Actual jumpscare felt cheap compared to how much ominousness and dread you feel playing through the game. -I feel there could've been more story especially to tie it all in -There's almost no direction in the game - you have to figure it out all yourself. Maybe not the worst thing, but a small negative to me
Overall, for the experience, I definitely recommend it. A cute, yet disconcerting game! 7.5/10
Sounds and ignorance of the situation are the most important force that creates fear.
The author took advantage of this brilliantly, I don't know consciously or not.
There are so many cool horror games that can't scare you, because you know that the enemy is going to run now, or he can't hurt you or something. You're always waiting for a screamer.
And there is nothing here that speaks about the nature of what is coming. You expect an enemy in the face of a snowman, who turns out to be one, but his behavior, movement when not looking, turns out to be just a distraction.
You don't know what the game wants from you and you're just looking for corpses, hoping that's exactly what they're asking you to do. And when you find the last one, all they give you - the words "Run" and disturbing sharp sounds that escalate the situation, but again you don't know anything, there is no information in front of the player. Where to run? Does it make sense to still look at the enemy so that he freezes, but you see that all the snowmen have started running in your direction, prompting you to run wherever you look. You run, and they catch up and overtake you, not paying attention to you. Completely lost in this environment of snowmen, until you see one among this crowd who is looking only at you. Death.
That's what I mean by misleading the player. It is necessary not to allow concentration, it is constantly necessary to distract the player, occupying him with thinking about what is happening. But few people use this technique in horror-games. (and the music on the menu is pleasant)

Need a little more direction and a more of a threat from the get-go.
No te voy a mentir, me interesa mucho esa historia acerca de frosty en el juego, esperaba un susto de salto, pero igual se disfruta mucho :D
